A different light is a short documentary by the GAA that will transport you to our farms in Indonesia and give you a glimpse of BOSF

“A Different Light”

This documentary celebrates the interaction between shrimp farming and conservation in one of the world’s last deeply wild places.

Follow Rosida, her daughter Aanisah and our network of farms in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Here we aim to undo the damage caused by industry in years past, and contribute to promoting ocean biodiversity in the areas we operate. You also get the opportunity to delve into Samboja Lestari, home to the Borneo Orangutan Sanctuary, and get a glimpse of the conservation efforts they do in order to rehabilitate and release orangutans that have been mistreated or neglected.

We have teamed-up with Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA), whose mission is to promote responsible aquaculture practices. For over 20 years, GAA have worked alongside businesses and communities to help feed the world through responsible and sustainable aquaculture.  Last summer, we shot a small documentary with GAA Films about our extensive and traditional farming practices with the hope of shining a new light in the way in which prawns are produced. They could not believe how natural our farming practices were and often celebrated the efforts of our farmers, alongside the charities we support, to promote the conservation of the environment.
